The Birth of Cameron

The birth story that started it all! When Lauren texted me asking if I’d like to be there to document the birth of their second child, I was ecstatic! Lauren has always been a huge supporter since I first started this photography journey, and I couldn’t wait to be there to meet her newest addition.

Lauren’s scheduled c-section was only a few days away when I got the 2AM phone call. “Hey Mal, my water broke!” She then told me to go back to sleep and she would let me know when they made it to Woman’s Hospital - HA! With butterflies in my stomach, I jumped out of bed, started my coffee, and checked my bag for the hundredth time to make sure I had everything I needed. A few hours later, it was go time!

Emotions were high as we waited to find out what baby’s gender would be. I couldn’t hold back the tears when Jeremy announced “It’s a boy!”

I know the moment of delivery is hard to beat, but siblings meeting for the first time might be my favorite thing of all time to document.
